Hi there! I'm so excited you are here! I'm Erica. Artist, wifey, mom to three little blondies with the bluest eyes you've ever seen (thanks, hubby), drinker of expensive coffee and cheap wine. Instead of introducing myself here, I wish I could have you over for my famous French toast soufflé and mimosas. Afterward, I would love to chat about beautiful papers and thoughtfully written calligraphy while I show you my studio (probably covered in paint and confetti).

My days are filled with changing diapers and editing designs, preschool pick ups and post office drop offs, expensive art supplies and broken boxes of crayons. While my life isn’t always glamorous or picture perfect, it is most definitely beautiful!

I studied fine art with a concentration in painting at Miami University, Oxford. My never fading love of all things artistic and a love of hand lettering inspired me to open Erica Hammer Calligraphy almost 7 years ago. I am so blessed and thankful to be able to do something that I enjoy so much.

I could go on all day about how much I love my job. Whether I’m creating artwork, calligraphing an invitation suite, or chatting with an excited bride, it couldn’t get any better. I’m not living unless I’m creating! When my hands are covered in paint, and I’m dipping a pointed nib in the most beautiful shade of ink, I am complete.
